Im having a problem with my theme, the theme reset its configurations to the default, where by i was being asked to activate my theme again and all my custom settings were lost.
what could be the cause of this this is the second time this has happened.
Im currently using version 7.4

Sorry but I cannot say for sure. The theme will ask for an activation if you update to version 8 but that is because we changed the activation system.
The widgets and layout should not be lost when updating. Please use this guide to properly update your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Please Note i was not performing a theme update, this was a general failure in production, My sent went down and when i logged into the theme panel is when i realized the the theme had reset its configuration settings.

There could have been a database error that caused the issue. All the settings are kept in the database. The theme cannot remove anything from the database automatically. Something happened that triggered the error. I suspect plugins or a miss-configuration of the server. I cannot say for sure unfortunately as I do not have any log of the crash to inspect. Only based on the facts presented, it can be any number of things.
Sorry but You will need an error log if this happens again so I have some data to investigate.
