CSS changes not updated after updating theme and WordPress to the latest version

Hello,

I’m using the latest theme (8.1) and WordPress (4.8.1), but after these updates I cannot make changes to the CSS anymore. Live CSS and Custom Code > Custom CSS are not working.

In Live CSS: I’ve added some CSS-codes and hit the Save button but it these changes are not saved.

In Custom Code > Custom CSS: the text block is non-responsive. I cannot add any css-codes.

When, as a last resort, I put the css-code in the css file of the child-theme, it’s also not updated.

I didn’t make any changes to some plugins.

Could you please check what’s going on?

1) make sure you properly installed the new theme and related plugins — you need to delete old folders, not simply over-write them; but make backups via FTP first — as ever
2) after update,
– run WP-Optimize plugin to clear transients
– resave permalinks to clear micro transients
3) make sure you clear/reset any caching plugins prior to update/upgrade and afterwards; if not using caching plugin, the 1 and 2 above should help.

Hey Chris,

We did exactly as per your suggestions but to no avail.

I’m using WP Supercache and I guess this theme is conflicting with this cache. The moment I switch off I can see the CSS-changes, and when I re-activate Supercache the problems are back again.

Have I overlooked something?

Have tried W3 Total Cache but it’s not working fine with this theme. So I would like to contine with Supercache.
Any idea how to resolve this?
