Thanks!!

The problem is with openweathermap.org. I changed these values and the fix worked for about 12 hours. Openweathermap.org fixed the security issue and the browser stopped reporting the insecure scripts from their website but the updates from the website stopped and I had enough of their crap and I deleted their td-weather widget and purchased one that works! Apparently tag div is selling a defective product! I emailed tag div and they responded with an email that said they would fix it in the next release. It has been over a month without any fix!

Quite an unsubstantiated statement for a beginner on the forum. Bugfixes are released by developers as quickly as possible. Especially the weather widget is the development of third parties, and to test all the changes it takes time.
Hi rgard564!
I am not an employee of the team. And my opinion is purely private.
And about bug fixes to weather widget – I think that the team has higher priorities than fixing this minor error which does not affect the performance of the entire Theme as a whole.
This product has another problem that is broke right out of the box! All of the permalinks are prefixed with http:// and when you install a new SSL your sight will report insecure content is being run on it! You have to change all the permalinks to https:// or get the “really simple SSL plugin”! As I said this product is broken right out of the box!
Hi,
Please note that the weather functionality has been fixed. The theme has been updated, download the theme package and install it. Modifications have been made to the implementation of the weather, follow this tutorial

@rgard564 Please create a new topic and explain the problems you are having with the theme. Mention the errors you are having, we will try to help you as best we can.
Thanks
Too late, I dumped your widget 2 weeks ago and thanks to your smart ass opinion from Edward I will not tell you about the bugs that I already fixed for myself! Good luck!
By the way getting a new API key doesn’t work for me because of the limits imposed by the openweather people. One call per second! You should be releasing a complete product not a hamstrung version that is meant to force you to subscribe to openweather’s monthly service plan which ends up costing $480.00 per year for the basic package and the other plans are $180.00 per month to $2000.00 per month. That’s 10 times more than the cost of the theme itself just for 1 year of basic weather. There are other plugins that you include and they would not update unless you pay. This is a bait and switch which ends up costing plenty to get the full functionality from the plugins you sell with the package. I will not buy your hamstrung goods products again!
Is this fixed? I am on the latest version, with a newly generated API Key, and am getting:
Weather API error: Invalid API key. Please see http://openweathermap.org/faq#error401 for more info.
in the header top bar
Edit: nevermind, I see this: “Activation of an API key for Free and Startup accounts takes 10 minutes. For other accounts it takes from 10 to 60 minutes.”
So I will continue to wait.
