Location detection in weather widget working?

I’m considering updating my installation of the Newspaper theme to address the known issue with the weather widget. However, since this will require major development on my part (I’m using a much older version of the theme heavily customized), I want to confirm all bugs with the weather widget have been addressed. When I test the widget on the demo page at https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/weather-widget/ by clicking the location icon, my browser prompts me to allow location access. When I do, nothing happens: the widget continues to display New York weather (I am located in Canada).

Hello Bruce,

Please download the latest version of the theme from Theme Forest and install it via FTP way. I have checked on my website and the Weather Widget location works as expected. Please follow the next instructions from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/weather-widget/
