Hello,
we switched our theme from nespaper 7 to newspaper8.
Everything is fine, only the sidebars make some problems.
We can see the sidebars under “widgets”, but every sidebar is empty. Where is the problem? We had about 35 sidebars before.

Hello,
It means you did not make the update properly and you still have the old version inyour themes folder most likely. The theme has to be replaced, not a new one installed along side the old one. Please use this guide to properly update your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

I have the same issue, although mine is in a fresh install of WP. And i don’t have any other themes.
Is there anything I can look at?
Hi,
There is also a wp limitation for the sidebars regarding the sidebar names. If you use any special characters or symbols in the sidebar names, WP will sometimes strip them of content. Plugin conflicts or custom code can also cause the stripping of sidebars.
