None of my posts are appearing after the theme update [manually updated using FTP]
I’ve disabled the tagdiv composer, but still, I couldn’t see my posts. They are all appearing blank like this – http://prntscr.com/ifpe0l [Can’t scroll down]
If I disabled the theme, everything is working fine. Any help on this?
Delete old tagdiv composer and install the plugin again, but from newspaper-tf (8.7).
Delete both the td composer and td multipurpose plugins and install the updated versions that came with the theme. Remember to clear website and browser cache. (Also check if your site uses php 7.2 coz I have seen a similar problem with my site and had to downgrade to php 7.1).
My PHP version is 7.0.24 | Do I need to upgrade it to 7.1 to fix this problem? I actually changed my theme to something else temporarily as I don’t want to lose traffic.
How come none of the theme support is replying?
Same here, blank Page after upgrade to 4.7 Using PHP 5.6
To @vamsinani24 No it won’t solve the problem : I’m with php 7.1 and I can’t install the td-composer plugin on a fresh new WP-install (pb with the header apparently)
@vamsinani24 the tagdiv team does not work on weekends. So we’ll have to wait until Monday. @kadmael my site works well with the updated td composer that cam with the theme version 8.7 on php 7.1. @Christian12 you should consider updating your php version to 7.0 or newer version coz v5.6 is no longer supported.
@kadmael i have the same problem . I’m in PHP 7.1 but still the TD composer plugin is causing me trouble. When i install it back end became a blank page or a 502 Bad gateway error đ
Hello,
Please make sure you have tagdiv composer version 2.0 and multi-purpose plugin as well. The old version of the theme will not work with the new version of the tagdiv composer plugin and vice-versa. We will soon release an update to fix all of the issues mentioned.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
@bogdan, thanks for the reply. I already mentioned that I removed the old tagdiv composer, uninstalled the theme > deleted the old theme folder > uploaded the new theme file [downloaded from envato] using FTP > installed the tagdiv manually and I still face the same issue.
I couldn’t see any of the posts and it only loads the title. The homepage generated using tagdiv is also blank. All I can see is category pages, archives, etc. but once I go to any post, it shows as blank.
Hello vamsinani24,
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Pierreto,
Yes, you should update the theme to the latest version of it. The 7.2 PHP version is supported. Also, regarding on 502 Bad Gateway Error, after further deeper investigations, it seems that happens due to a setting from the server, regarding on SSL. This option force to rewrite external links and this function seem to break our TD Composer, sorry! Please disable it. In the future, we will consider finding a solution in this case, sorry!
Please notice that we have tested the SSL implemented by default and not from the server. For more information about default SSL implementation, please check here -> http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-ssl-and-https-in-wordpress/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi @catalin Any chance you can update the requirements section for Newspaper over at https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ ?.
Running Php 7.1.13 and it seems to work ok but I don’t want any surprises.
Hello dialogcrm,
Please check here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/VFB5SP4c In our requirements guise were been added the minimum values.
Thanks for your understanding!
@Catalin Thank you – I saw that minimum versions are not helpful. My host does not even offer PHP 7.2 yet. They do offer PHP 7.0.28 or 7.1.13.
What we need is to understand if Newspaper is compatible with PHP version 7 (yes ?) and more usefully which versions if that is possible. From what you have listed it looks like PHP 7.2 is compatible but I’m just checking because the requirements section was never updated and I would expect to see something (other than minimums) noted over there.
