Featured videos have not been working very well for me. It used the same filename of “maxresdefault.jpg” and if I do two articles with a featured video in a month, Newspaper gets confused and uses the previous article’s thumbnail. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem. It worked fine for years up until a few months ago.

Notice that theme’s functionality should work as expected because it was tested on my side without any problems, sorry! Remove all of the untested plugins, purge CDN files if you are using the Cloudflare, clear all the caches and check the results. It just tries to add a picture with the same file name thus it takes the thumbnails from the last picture with that filename and applies those thumbnails to the newly uploaded picture for the new video. So you end up having the same picture for two different featured videos even though they’re completely unrelated. Sure, it still adds the featured video fine, but the thumbs are all wrong.
