Hi Guys,
I’m finally capitulating and trying to get used to TagDiv Composer.
When I put a single image on the left and text on the right, I am finding that on a mobile device, I am getting a wide space between the bottom of the image and the top of the text: Image here: https://imgur.com/HzPbPec
I can play around with the image height in mobile view, but then the problem is that this setting remains the same for all other views (i.e., desktop, laptop, and tablet) which then looks like rubbish.
Shouldn’t this just resize normally in a mobile device without the extra space? Where is this extra space being called from? It is clearly not anything to do with margin or padding.
It would be helpful if I could edit for each device, but as it is now, a change in the responsive mode in the TagDiv editor remains when I go back to the other screen sizes. Very frustrating.
Following on from my last post, you can see in this screenshot (https://imgur.com/pGn483M) that when I add an image, and format it as no-repeat and contain, it has this MASSIVE space below it. When I view it on a mobile device, this space pushes the text way down. If I change the image height, it will bring that space up, but then I’m back to the same problem of it not rendering correctly on different browsers. Shrinking the height on mobile will make it look good on mobile, but then on a laptop the image is very small (still in mobile size).
Last thing on this topic, I also see that on a tablet in portrait mode, the text on the right side does not resize: https://imgur.com/DqEDDC0
Not sure if this is happening with anyone else, but I’m having a difficult time doing even the most basic things. I’ve been doing websites for over a decade so, while I don’t consider myself a guru, I generally know how to get around most page builders and something tells me this isn’t right.
Thanks for any advice you can provide.
Hello,
Sorry for the inconvenience, but due to how the single image was created, some images will create this space. The simplest solution to this issue would be to replace the single image element and use a “column text” element instead, creating the layout with image and text directly in the tiny mce editor.
Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.
Hmm, I really like the single image with text and how it renders in Visual Composer. It’s unfortunate that all these teething problems are occurring with TD composer. As I’ve said in many posts, I really love the Newspaper theme and have promoted it to a lot of people. I just with you guys weren’t making a concerted effort to push everyone away from Visual Composer. Here are some of the other issues I’ve had with TD composer echoed by other users:

Anyway, I hope you work out the bugs.
Cheers
Hello,
Our own page builder is still “young” and there is definitely room for improvement. We are constantly working on improvements for it and it’s ‘stability’ has become our number 1 purpose for future updates. We are not pushing users away fro VC. We are simply not investing any more time and effort into VC as we have our own page builder to worry about now. That is why all of our theme new features will be implemented through the tagdiv composer. You can still use VC if you want. We are not eliminating it’s use.
Thank you for understanding.
