Update the Theme Keeping all the Previous Settings Same

As the title says it all. I got an updateed version of the theme today, but when I’m installing it says the folder exists which is obvious. But my question is when I replace the whole theme file, all the settings will also be changed.

How do I update the theme keeping all the settings same as it was before updating? (excluding custom css)

I’d also like to know how to proceed.

The simplest without losing all our parameters because this is a real problem.

Hi,

By updating the theme files will be replaced, so if you made any modifications directly to theme files they will be lost. Note that theme panel settings, custom code entered in the theme panel, posts and pages, these will not be lost since they are kept in the database of the website.
As it is always recommended please make a backup before updating, this is the update guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
The tagDiv composer and social counter should be automatically updated as soon as you update the theme, the rest of the theme plugins will have to be updated manually.

Thanks

I have a question.

I take the topic, AMP is compatible now with newsmag 4.4 ?

I just realized that I have the opportunity to install it…

Hi,

@MaximEvr
Our AMP plugin is provided in the theme package (starting with version 4.3), you can use it if you wish
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
All you have to do is to install and activate the plugin (for posts).

Thanks

Hello MaximEvr,

In our theme packet, you will find that plugin which can be installed on your website without any problems.

Thanks.

Yes I activated the AMP plugin, cross checked with Webmaster. It’s indexing AMP pages. It’s working !!

Thank you #TagDiv
