Hide Sidebar From New Post

Hello,

how can hide the sidebar from a new post? It takes too much space and I don’t need it.

Even if I go to “Sidebar Position” in “Post Settings” and I set it to “no sidebar”, the sidebar is still there (smaller, but I want to hide it completely).

Thanks

Hi,

So you mean the sidebar allocated space in the WordPress text editor. If a sidebar is set the sidebar space will be reserved, if there is no sidebar the post content will be the full theme width (it is limited by the theme). This way you can see how the post content will look when published as you write it.

This delimitation could be removed, by removing the max-width in this theme file

What can I do?

Hi,

Keep refreshing the page (Ctrl+Shift+R) eventually the cache will be cleared. Test with a new browser as well. If you removed all those codes it is a matter or persistent browser cache.

Thank you again, but the problem is not solved. Here you can find my Editor-style.css file. Can you please check if it is ok?

It is ok from what I can see, the limits are removed. Try removing this line of code as well

Then there should be no problem – https://www.screencast.com/t/xyHeulf37bu6
