I am creating a page with the “latest articles + pagination” template.
I have a tagdiv composer grid on top for featured articles.
Ideally I would like to enable “Unique Articles” but then pagination doesn’t work right.
I can not use “offset” to solve the problem because the grid will have only “featured” articles, correct?
One solution would be to set “hide featured posts” in the “Posts Loop Settings,” BUT then what happens when the featured posts are no longer in the grid? They are not in the post loop or the grid anymore? They basically disappear?
Is there any solution that can automatically put posts back in the post loop where they belong after they are done being featured in the grid? (in other words, is there any way to get the exact functionality of “unique articles” without breaking pagination?)
thanks!
Hello daveml75,
Sorry but please notice that all of these functionalities of our theme works as expected, without any problems. Please provide some useful screenshots of the problem, provide a link to your website so I can identify them. Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme, remove all of the untested plugins and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Hi Catalin,
Everything is working as expected and there are no problems. I’m asking if there is a way to do achieve the functionality I’m describing using your tools, and if I’m understanding the functionality I described correctly.
I’m hoping maybe there is something I’m missing that can recreate the exact functionality of “unique articles” without breaking pagination.
thanks,
Hello daveml75,
Please notice that I have made some tests on my side and the Unique Articles does not break the latest articles pagination. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/ Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
the page you just linked says:
” If you use pagination (including the Load more button and Infinite load) it will generate duplicates on the second page”
This is the issue I am talking about and which I can confirm does happen.
And here it says:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/
“If you don’t use pagination you can try the Unique Articles function”
