Please, can you guide to achieve these two tasks;
1. I want to remove the newsmag advertisements that came by default and I will like to put mine?. There are three(3) locations on my website, one place is top-right and has an advert space of 728×90 ad. The second location is midway-right, it has an advert space of 300 X 250 ad and the top of it has “stay connected” which shows the social media counter. The third place has equally an advert space of 300 X 250 and it is at the right-hand side.
2. I want to post my news to show on the ” Video Playlist ” showing on the website, mid-way with large video window. I noticed those contents that came by default when I acquired this website from tagDiv is still the content therein. I will like to know where to select ( say categories or whatever) so that my news stories will also reflect on that location on my website.

1. You can remove/replace the default ads, that will not be a problem. Please check the theme ad spots and make the modifications as needed

Also the Ad box elements will allow you to place ads in pages in the positions you want. You can place them in pages with the composer or as widgets.
2. The playlist will display only videos, it cannot display posts if that is what you mean. It will display YouTube or Vimeo videos, by entering their IDs

So to chnage those videos, edit the page with the tagDiv composer and select the playlist. It’s settings will appear in the composer left sidebar.
Each block or grid in the page can be configured to display the content you want

The same for the widgets in sidebars, in Appearance->Widgets.
