Indeed, I believe since the previous theme version the exchange widget now requires an API key for it to work

You have to first get a key as mentioned in the guide, this has to be entered in the required field of the widget. I have tested this again and it works properly

What exactly is happening in your case with the widget? Are you using the latest theme version?
