I’ve been reading through a few of the other threads. It sounds like Adsense auto ads don’t work on the Newspaper theme and that the theme won’t be updated to accommodate auto ads. Am I understanding that correctly? Trying to figure out what to do next since mine aren’t working. I don’t think I’ll have the time to manage anything but auto ads.

That would be the case, we have not made any testing with auto-ads. Standard adsense ads with defined placement will work just fine. Once entered in the theme panel they will show according to their ad spot

There would be no management needed once set up. They will always show where they are supposed to appear.
I remember cases where auto-ads were used and they appeared in unusual places within the website. Maybe those are general issues. So there might be problems with that ad type.
