Hello, I have updated the theme as usual, but I still get version 8.8.2 an not 9, even the style.css file shows

I downloaded the update from these two places, but they are identical.

That would be impossible. It would mean the theme has not been updated properly. The old theme files will be replaced entirely with the new ones, so still serving the old stylesheet is quite not possible.
This is the update guide you can follow, most recommended and reliable method is by FTP

Try and reinstall it again, follow the steps in the guide and there should be no problem.
