"Related Articles" headline crossed out

Hello,

In each of my article posts at collabhype.com, when I scrolled towards the bottom, there is a display of “Related Articles”. However, this heading is crossed out and to the right is displayed “More From Author”. Do you know why this is happening? Where is this text controlled?

Hello,

This happens because of the global header style chosen. Block template style 8 provided this result but this was fixed in more recent versions of the theme.
please either update your theme by using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ or change the global block template from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/rcPC3C8KB

Thank you!

Hello,

I prefer to use Block template style 8. I have attempted to update to the latest theme version, but apparently I already am using the latest. Please advise how to fix this issue.

thanks,
Matt

Actually you use version 8.7.2 – https://collabhype.com/
We are now at version 9.0.1

Please update your theme

Thank you!

I see. I have updated the theme and now the line crossing out “Related Articles” is now gone. However, is it supposed to say both “Related Articles” and “More from Author”?

Thanks,
Matt

Additionally, when I upgraded to the latest version, now the top section of my homepage is broken. What do I need to do to fix this?

It suggests “Big grid 2 Please move this shortcode on a full row in order for it to work.”. However, where/how do I do this?

Hi,

Yes, it is supposed to show the more from author as well. Please check the default implementation here: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-fashionable-new-york-couples-in-2016/
maybe you had more from author disabled: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/related-articles-remove-or-hide-more-from-author-newspaper-theme/

Since newspaper 8, we added this message as big grids need to be on their own full column layout. You do this in the tagdiv composer or visual composer (depending on the plugin used) by making the row with the grid full and not have a sidebar besides the big grid. The big grids were never supposed to show a sidebar next to them.

Thank you!

That worked. Thank you.

In the future, is there a way to check whether upgrading versions will break anything before going live?

And if there are issues, is there an easy way to roll back to a previous version?

Thanks,
Matt

Hello,

You should always create a back-up before updating so you can roll back to that back-up.
You can create a dev site to test new updates and not affect the live site:

Thank you!
