Hello, I have been using Newspaper 8 and just installed Newspaper 9 to try to learn using tagDiv Composer. But I’m not able to activate the plugin? I deleted it, reinstalled it and it just won’t activate. It’s version 1.o. and page just goes blank each time I try to activate. Any ideas?

I uploaded the plugin via FTP and was able to activate it this time. But when I create a page and click on TagDiv Composer to use to edit the page, I get a gray screen, same as the people in the link you sent. I don’t know how to update htaccess file so I’ll pass on this. Can I continue to use WPBakery Page Builder with Newspaper or will I at some point be forced to use TD Composer? I have waited to update to Newspaper 9 because I thought I had to use TD Composer…
We will not force users to use one or the other. Depends on your choice. However most of the existent features and the new ones to come will only work with the tagDiv composer.
You could try and add that code in the htaccess file, contact the hosting provider for assistance as well. Some guides I found
