Hi,
If you do not make any changes to the theme files, please deactivate all plugins, clear all cache and please make sure that the theme system status is configured as mentioned in the requirements guide. Please follow the guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Please deactivate child theme too, is possible to be some conflicts, or a piece of code to be broken.
Thank you.

Got same error on litespeed and we have fixed it as below.
https://github.com/litespeedtech/lscache_wp/commit/2f89731e4624fe9adda3af2cbac3ae0475a98044
Cant we just use some code like this?
Hi,
If you make changes in theme file after update you will lose all changes; also this worrying is cased by something.
Please check if you set the wp_debug to false -> https://www.screencast.com/t/0KUOvg7opy
Please deactivate all plugins, clear all cache and try again.
Also please check in .htaccess , copy the code from there, clear the .htaccess ( delete all from there ) re-save the permalinks https://www.screencast.com/t/okBaaOOm49I1 and see if the problem is still there.
If the problem persist please provide some more details, some screenshots were I can inspect the problem.
Thank you for your understanding.

Have tried the things you have wrote.
Deactivated plugins, purged all cache.
.htaccess seems fine.
Flushed permalinks.
Was using 4.9.9 updated to 5.0.2.
All my template settings gone and wasted 30mins fixing it.
Problem still there, nothing on fronted and all i got is the above error in my public_html error_log file.
