Hi,
Depends on what post templates are used. For example in a cloud post template it is a matter of placing both the date and the modified date elements in the template
– http://prntscr.com/nur719
Here are some cloud post template examples created by us, which can be imported
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
For the predefined post templates however it would be difficult, it will require code modifications to the post templates which are now in the tagDiv composer. So any modification made to them will have to be remade after a theme update.
Thanks
Hi Simion,
Thanks for your answer. Just to make sure I understand:
I am using the Post Template 6, please see here: https://www.thedigitalpictureframe.com/the-ultimate-10-point-checklist-for-buying-a-digital-picture-frame/
I believe it is almost the same one as the Single Post Template 17 from the Cloud library.
So should I use the Cloud Template 17 instead of the Post Template 6 as a workaround?
Hi,
You could indeed experiment with the cloud post template similar to the one currently used.
Post Template 6 or any non-cloud post template can only display the publish date, adding the modified date in it would require you to modify the post template file and add the necessary code. Before theme update 9.7 this was possible in a child theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/post-last-updated/
But now the post template files are in the tagDiv composer plugin, so they can only be edited there. The inconvenience is that the modification will have to be made after each theme update, because the plugins will be updated.
That is why it would be best to try and use a cloud post template if possible. Import the one you want, configure it as needed, and apply to the posts you want.
Thanks
So adding the modified date with a cloud template worked fine. But what I don’t understand yet is if I can access this modified template in the cloud or if it is tied to my WordPress instance? So, if I had three Newspaper licences for three WP sites, can I use my modified cloud template on all sites?
I need help editing my posts templates. I have selected a Global posts template from Theme Pane -> Post Settings but when I try editing the template via a post, it says no template selected.
Hi @itechguides,
Does the post use a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library? If it does, then you should be directed to the tagDiv Composer edit screen. If it doesn’t then there will be a message
– http://prntscr.com/nv9oay
So if the post uses a cloud post template it should work alright, works in my case. Let me know.
If there is still a problem, then please provide some more details and some screenshots.
Thank you!
