Activating TD composer sends a spike on my Memory and IO Usage. Causing my users to get 503 and 508 errors, as soon as i deactivate it, the page comes back to life. Please help me fix this.
I had the same issue my site was down with 503 error for a good 8 hours, lost a lot of viral traffic. I just switched back to the older newspaper V 9.7.2

Unfortunately in Newspaper v9.7.3 there is a problem between WPBakery and tagDiv Composer, I recommend you to use a previous version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/important-new-update-newspaper-9-7/ until will fix the problem.

Guys, my site is still experiencing awful spikes and ends up overloading bc of of the Newspaper Theme…the problems go away as soon as i revert to the 2019 default theme. I have tried deactivating all plugins except the ones needed to run and yet the Memory and Usage allocated by my host are not enough. I have tried downgrading (after the upgrade didnt help) can you please please help me figure this out?
The site is stable when TD composer is deactivated,
and all other plugins are active.

The large majority of the traffic appears to be posts to the admin-ajax.php file, from referrers all over your website. I do not know what it’s doing here but it looks like pages all over your site are causing the browser to post to that URL and those posts occur more than once per page load, driving your account loads through the roof.

That callback for articles is really really really loading down your site. There are way more than half of your traffic is just to this page. It’s like the pages loaded and then repeatedly access this resource to get your articles. Is it doing this with an ajax style call more than once or on a timer as long as the page is up, because if it is, it’s really too much. Even if each request is only taking half a second each of CPU time, getting even more than two of them within one second is enough to ram your CPU allocation to the max and once it hits that it starts slowing down trying to load share as evenly as it can.
It just can’t keep up.
