wp-supercache causes 500 internal error and cannot deactivate

Hello,

When I installed the wp-supercache plugin, I received a warning that said the plugin was incompatible with wordpress. Then, I attempted to go into the admin settings via wordpress and was denied access due to a 505 internal server error. When I tried to disable the wp-supercache plugin, I was unable to. I cannot access my site or customize newspaper via wordpress anymore. Also, I cannot access the plugin files that were uploaded to wordpress to edit them and disable them.

Hi,

That would be highly unusual, the WP Super Cache is fully compatible with WordPress and our theme. I would suggest to disable all plugins by FTP since you cannot access the WordPress dashboard
http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/
That should let you access your WordPress. Also you could contact your hosting provider and ask them to check the error logs or what could cause the 505 errors. Maybe the WordPress install could be corrupted, they could take a look if possible.

Thanks
