You can do this easily, binder that most popular post blocks, did you notices there is a filters option just opt-in there and pick the categories you want to be showing up but the issue here is that you can only pick one categories since you don’t want all categories to be showed
See the setup In the below screenshot
Hi @wpsun,
If the those blocks make part from the page template ( how it is the Page Builder + Latest Articles + Pagination ), then you’ll Need to check in the Appearance >Widgets -> http://prntscr.com/oig87r
or if is a part of page that was build with tagDiv Composer, you can edit with this builder.

Thank you!
I have a similar question:
I am able to filter out categories in the ‘block’ widgets. However, I want to do the same in ‘Popular Categories’ or ‘Category’ widgets, which are simply the lists of categories and the count of posts in them.
Most of my posts have two categories: ‘type of article’ and ‘type of disease’, you can say. I want to eliminate the 5 categories that are for the ‘type of article’ in the categories list. And, have the categories list display only ‘type of disease’ articles.
If it helps, my website is: healthsachet.com
I know the 5 IDs to remove. But, don’t know where to type them, with a minus sign before them? Can I use some css code for this?
Thanks in advance.
Hi @MadhurKotharay,
If you are referring to a widget as Most popular, then you should look in the Appearance>Widgets -> http://prntscr.com/olfi3c or if this section is on the page and the page was build using tagDiv Composer then you can edit the page using this builder, click on the element and check the filter tab http://prntscr.com/olfo9v -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ if the Filter block is missing that means that the block can not be filtered.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Great. Thanks. This solved half the problem. On the home page, where I was using tagDiv developer, I used categories/tags shortcode and the problem got solved. There is some bug in it, where the minus sign does not work with multiple categories correctly. So I just went ahead and typed 20 different categories that I want to add, instead of subtracting the 5 that I don’t want to add. So the problem is solved at my end.
However, I am not able to do that for sidebar. In the tagDiv widgets, there is no categories/tags widget, which allows me filter the categories by IDs. The category widget and tagDiv popular category widget, both, do not allow me to filter category IDs. Is there a way to that for the sidebar design.
Hi,
So you chose to use the categories/tags list -> http://prntscr.com/oluq3f please notis that if you hover the name of the element will be show a description if you can use the “-” http://prntscr.com/olur8l element to remove the categories, if there is no description as in this case you can only set ids, you can not remove them.
First make sure that those elements from sidebar are from widgets and are not set using tagDiv Composer.
Please provide me a some screenshots and a link where I can identity those blocks; in this way I will be able to provide you the right answer.
Thank you for your understanding!
