Multiple imported Images

Hey Guys,

I am using a plugin called WordPress Robot which imports Youtube and Vimeo videos into the template with a thumbnail. The Plugin is great.

What I have noticed in the WordPress content folder is that it generates at least 10 different images for each video thumbnail imported. Please see attached image.

When its coming to backup I am backing up 10x more than what I need to. Is it possible to avoid all of the different images sizes and just stick to what I need?

Hi,

The plugin that you are using imports images for featured image, out theme use thumbs so is need to create for each thumb that is enable in theme panel will be create a image with the respective size http://prntscr.com/op01em -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/

Hi Calin,

Thanks for your reply. In that thumbnail setting am I right in thinking that I am able to disable some of the thumbnails for blocks I know I wont be using? Therefore reducing images in the upload folder?

Hi,

Yes, you can deactivate those that you are not using, in this way you’ll reduce the number of images that will be upload.
You can check the thumbs for each module/block here https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
