I’m customizing the theme from scratch without using a demo import.
I would like to define an dark gray background color all over the background. But if I define the background colour in the theme panel (Genearl theme colors), it changes only the outer area, not the inner area, and the theme changes to boxed layout. How to solve this?
Additional question regarding the demo themes: where and how are the background colours defined in the demo? (e.g. the “Black version”). It’s pretty confusing there: if I don’t define a background colour, the colour is dark gray.

Hello in order to define the background color in the content you will have to use the TagDiv Composer and set the ROW background as you can see it here: https://www.screencast.com/t/6lmD6Gjhe

thx for the response. I understand what you wrote (and tested it). But that’s an incredibly complicated way to define the global background color. I have to create several templates and I need to edit them all separately?
And moreover: when I define the bg color of the main row in the tagdiv composer, there is still white space above and below that row (between the header and the content) Can I define the bg colour of the main content area for all pages and templates in one single place? How is this accomplished with the demo sites?

Please note that in a page there can be multiple rows so make sure to check all of them for background color. Also if we’re talking about post pages you will have to edit only one template and that will apply on all of your posts. All the demo pages available in the theme have been fully built using the tagDiv Composer.
