Redirect author archive page

When we click on author name is a post I want to be taken to ‘contact us’ page
How can I disable author archive and redirect users to contact page?

Likely need to Google how to modify WordPress, as not a theme function, if you want to redirect all author pages to contact page.

For the templates, you would likely need to edit the “author” element in the templates to replace the default link to author template to the contact us page.

So, to hack the theme, you would likely start by looking at the single post template you’re using, then find the block which pulls the author name, and then edit from there.

Hi,

Please disable all plugins one by one and check to see if still have this issue. And if you’re using the WordPress SEO plugin please make sure you have the “Disable Author Archives” unchecked under Settings > Titles & Metas > Other.
