I would like to get instructions in the following three design option for ny newspaper site (gulklud.dk).
1) How do resize the whole screen (1150 px)
2) How do I resize the content section (800 px)
3) How to I reduce the spacing between the content section and the sidebar.
I have already tried working with the Custom CSS, but the look doesn’t change.
Can you help?
Hi,
1. In order to change the width of templates, you’ll need to use tagDiv Composer and stretch the row width. Unfortunately there is no general option for this, in Default PRO, this can be achieved by editing the pages and cloud templates from tagDiv Cloud library with tagDiv Composer, click on the row and change the row stretch -> https://i.imgur.com/BTN0bIZ.png -> https://i.imgur.com/hHKoY4A.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/7onsUiV.png for single post templates -> http://prntscr.com/pva1f0 and make these changes on row -> http://prntscr.com/pva0cl -> http://prntscr.com/pva1m6
Also here are some similar topics -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-the-site-width/
2. The content section can be set using tagDiv Composer, click on the row -> https://i.imgur.com/YlJSmkX.jpg and in css tab set the width that you want and set margin auto to center the content -> https://i.imgur.com/afXZ5s4.png
3. The space between the elements set in a row can be change using this option -> https://i.imgur.com/VCdqFKk.jpg
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
1. Unfortunately this element can not be stretch, there are few elements that are not responsive to large resolution, but using flex blocks and grids you should not have these problems.
2. Unfortunately there is no general option for this, also this can be achieve only on cloud header that need to be edited with tagDiv Composer, for example on single post template -> https://i.imgur.com/ItBX4LH.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/WY19ev8.jpg these changes made on cloud template will apply on all post/categories .. that have these templates assigned.
Thank you!
OK, I am so damn afraid to screw everything up we have built, that I need a step-by-step here.
We would like to expand our posts width to 1200.
How do we do that without overwriting a bunch of stuff, and can we go back if we are not happy with the look.
We have looked in the library, and we are just too scared to import anything without being certain that we do everything in the right order.
Thanks!
Hi,
Yes, you can release a backup if you are not satisfied the results, this option -> https://i.imgur.com/fMdtJ3Q.png was added in our theme from Newspaper 10.3.1
Unfortunately we do not have a full complete guide for this, but you can check our video tutorial for how to set a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1R3j1QYod0 -> https://www.youtube.com/user/tagdiv
Thank you!
