hi i updated to the latest newspaper theme and this is what happened to my site (i have done a screen grab but cant attach it?)

On the dashboard under the newspaper tabs I do not have a updates tab, when I updated i downloaded the latest newspaper from theme forest then deleted the newspaper theme installed the new theme – as per the instructions on there website. then when i went to the site all i got was a lot of code on the page and no layout.
I have missed some of the updates could that be the issue?

That step is for the users that use a cache plugin like this one: -> WP Super Cache if you are not using cache plugins or Cloudflare (CDN) then you skip that step.

I have tried using the instruction link you sent but still with the same result!
I noticed that when I had imported the newspaper theme it is showing as newspaper 9 – Not X.
Then when I activate the theme I get a blank screen, then when I check site all i see is code.

Please note that after you install the theme, you need to install/update the theme plugins too, in this way the code will be interpreted by the theme plugins.
