Everytime I update the site to the latest version it crashes the website.

We are trying to upgrade from version 10.2. We have to upload it from the ftp. Once we switch to the new version from the WP side panel the site crashes. It just brings a white page with an error message.

Because we uploaded the latest theme version can we delete the older newspaper theme framework or is the new version dependent on the old theme version? Thanks!

Once that you installed the new version is no longer need to keep the old theme version, but if you can you can keep it as backup.
