The Visual Composer plugin that comes with the theme is licensed to the theme, the license specifies that only we can provide the updates and you don’t have to buy it or register it.
We’re testing the plugin latest version, if everything is ok we will include it in the next update and only then you can update the plugin by downloading the theme latest version and following the procedure presented in the plugin update guide.
Till then please ignore the update message!

You shouldn’t display your plugin key, this is a public forum, let me know if I should remove it.
I see that you bought a license for the plugin, to activate the plugin you also need Envato user and and Secret API key: https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/display/VC/Activation

I think you folks need to add some kind of “for your information” message about this in the theme admin panel, and a special “read me” doc in the file downloads about this.
As you know this issue comes up several times a week, going on 14+ months now….. and it pollutes the support forum so much, it’s freaky!
People obviously don’t “get it” as to how this works.

Alin, do you know when this new version of Newspaper with the updated VC will be released? I’m using the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin and found a bug between SEO and VC when using the raw html block. Seeing how popular the Yoast WordPress SEO is, it seems that in version 4.4 VC committed itself to making sure there were no compatibility issues between the two.

Currently Newspaper 4.6.1 is using Visual Composer 4.3.5 .
I just purchased the theme and what about the Visual Composer plugin?
Its asking me to register and activate license in Product License tab?
What do i need to fill out? Do i need to make a purchase? Could you please verify this matter with me?
