Here: https://jazzjournal.co.uk/2021/03/02/jimmie-noone-the-apex-of-jazz-clarinet-1923-1944/
I am using the following in the subtitle field to get 4 black stars and 1 white star.
90% of his best work is on this CD, and it includes many classic performances as well as several rare appearances by good sidemen that are to be savoured. <p>★★★★☆</p>
Is there an easier way to do this? And how can I get a half-star, like here – https://jazzjournal.co.uk/2021/03/02/erik-verwey-people-flow/
I can’t find any html code for half-star, so guess some CSS will be the answer.
I don’t want to use the Reviews option in the standard single post template (I want summary and stars at top of post), and I can’t use cloud templates because none of them allow layout like Style 1 (why not?) and don’t work well with my paywall.
Many thanks
Mark Gilbert
I see the forum is converting my html code – here’s black star – ★ and here’s – white star ☆
However, this would be possible with CSS, right? Newspaper already has that option under Reviews.
I want this look – https://jazzjournal.co.uk/2021/03/08/bidi-dworkin-beautiful-souvenirs/ – but with half-star options as the theme currently supplies below the post, like this: https://jazzjournal.co.uk/2021/03/02/erik-verwey-people-flow/
Can you give me the CSS I need (perhaps copy from the theme) and tell me where to put it and an example of the HTML code I can add for each star-rating to my subtitle?
Thanks
MG
