Hello,

This problem can be, because you have the mobile theme plugin activate, and as you know Mobile theme plugin has the own templates design.
Also, you can’t disable the mobile theme on templates.
You can disable it only on pages and posts.

Thank you!

What does that mean exactly now?
Sorry but I do not understand.

How can I customize my 404 page for desktop and mobile?

Hello,

What I mean is that you have the mobile theme plugin activate and that in vain you made a 404 page for mobile, because the template from the mobile theme plugin applies.
In mobile responsive version, it should look like this => https://www.screencast.com/t/XqvwW5w3rq 404 page, but it looks like this => https://www.screencast.com/t/Roy7exJL8t
You can find more information about 404 in this article => https://tagdiv.com/introducing-new-404-page-templates/

Thank you!

Hello,
I have already understood what you mean.
I have already read the article (https://tagdiv.com/introducing-new-404-page-templates/) 5 times. This does not answer my question.

My question is: How can I edit and display the 404 page for mobile? You already said that you can’t disable the Mobile Theme for Cloud Templates. But how can I display the mobile page then? Not at all? Then what is the function to create a mobile 404 template for?

I can select a template in the theme panel only for desktop >> https://nimb.ws/ZQCqXA

Thank you

Hi,

Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, 404 etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple).
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activate and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories page/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activate.

I hope the information is clearer now.

Thank you!

Oh wow, that’s a detailed tutorial. Thanks a lot! 🙂

But I was already aware of that. I’m not working with your system since yesterday 😉

You say: “For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activate and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories page/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activate.”

So I have no chance at all to change the current 404 mobile page? >> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OXCRRiCfWzhIMM9MygeKda7vaASDz2h3/view?usp=sharing

I would like to disable the mobile theme for the 404 page. But I can’t do that either.(?)
So in short, if I have the mobile theme activated, then there is no way at all to customize the mobile design of the 404 page?
This is really quite unattractive. 90% of my visitors come via mobile. Mobile is more important than desktop for me.

Is there a trick how I can “disguise” a page as a 404 page?

Thank you very much for your time Anamaria!

Hello,

Exactly, if you have a mobile theme plugin you can’t customize your 404 page.
The only solution is to deactivate the mobile theme plugin and use the mobile responsive version or mobile page.

Thank you for understanding!
