Hi!
I can’t fine the option to set a custom sidebar per cataegory in the theme panel anymore? Has something changed? I seem to remember it being here and our existing set up with category-specific sidebars appears to still be functioning

I’m facing the same problem. I tried to set Custom Sidebar per Category, but I can’t find the option.
I can’t find the option for “custom sidebar+position” in the “Theme Panel’s Category” section.
I already have the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin activated. I have tried to deactivate the plugin & reactivate the plugin, but it doesn’t seem to change anything.
my “Theme Panel > Category > Restaurant Category” doesn’t show custom sidebar option.
I checked https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/ and the screenshot shows that there should be a “Custom Sidebar” option in the “Theme Panel’s Category” section.
the only place I can find “Custom Sidebar” option is in the “Theme Panel’s Template Setting” section, and I don’t think I can set custom Sidebar per category from here.

Please do these steps
1. disable all tagDiv plugins
2. uninstall all tagDiv plugins
3. clear cache (if cache plugin exists)
4. re-install all tagDiv plugins again from Newspaper plugins => https://www.screencast.com/t/WLy01lbc
5. activate all tagDiv plugins
6. clear cache (if cache plugin exists)
Also, make sure your WordPress and plugins are up to date.
Sometimes, the issue can be from a plugin conflict, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

I just deleted all WordPress, the database, the Newspaper theme, then I fresh installed the whole thing.
my site is blog.garpu.id and I’m using Gourmet Pro demo content.

when I have installed the Newspaper theme but I haven’t installed the Gourmet Pro demo content, I can see the custom category sidebar at the theme panel.
but after I installed the Gourmet Pro demo content, the “custom sidebar+position” is gone.
I have tried uninstalled the demo content, I can see the custom sidebar option again. and when I tried to install the Gourmet Pro again, the custom sidebar option is gone again.
please advise 🙂 thank you.

I’m not using any other plugins other than tagDiv’s.
haven’t change options in WordPress as well.

So, if you want to use a standard template for categories you need to set it to “No Template” => https://www.screencast.com/t/DvfvX5KiaDg and then you will have “custom sidebar+position”
