I want to keep what I have but update to the latest 10.x version of Newspaper. I downloaded and installed version 10, but not sure how to configure it to user my existing database and settings.
Is there a proper sequence of events I need to follow for this update?

I recommend that you update the theme on a staging website and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the look of the website.
