I have this situation where by the custom template set for the single post keeps resetting to back the default single post template.
I have newspaper 11 with default theme
Wordfence plugin is also installed
Also how can I hide comment count and post views on posts?
Hello!
If your settings are missing, then please make sure you have Standard pack plugin installed and active and try to restore a backup from Theme panel -> Import/Export and please do not press “Reset”.
Please follow this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-remove-post-views-and-comment-count-from-posts-theme-option-dont-work/
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Your response wasn’t helpful.
it’s not the entire site settings that resets.
It’s just the custom single post that reverts to the default single post template.
I always have to go back and set the back to custom. That’s all the issue is.
Also how can i hide post views and comment count and single posts?
Please help
Hello,
If I understood correctly when you make a setting it is not saved, right?
If so, please check if you have object cache, this file can be created by a plugin you use or you can have on the host, please ask if it exists.
Also, please set the Wordfence plugin in learning mode.
To remove the post views and comment count please check the above link provided by my colleague or this video https://www.screencast.com/t/9RSOmBWrb04
Thank you!
Hi browusu, we’ll like to inspect this situation, for this please make a full backup for your website and contact us at contact@tagdiv.com add the link of this topic and as many details you can about this problem, also please add the wp-admin and cPanel access to check the problem on your website.
Thank you!
Good day to you. Was this issue ever resolved for you? I’m asking because I’m experiencing the same issue and I’ve been waiting for some time for a resolution and I haven’t received one as yet. You can read my thread here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cpu-and-memory-100-usage-admin-ajax-php/.
Removing my post views and comment counts is not a suitable work around for me as these are theme functions that should work properly and should be fixed if they are causing issues.
Regards,
Raf
