I’m having issues with a giant logo/image on my home page view.
Cannot access the CSS Analyzer menu after update, because of green Edit with Tag Div Composer bar.
How do I solve this?
And it won’t allow me to roll back in time to a previous version….
Hello,
Please make sure that the update procedure is done correctly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
I hope that at the time of the update, you disabled all extra plugins and child theme (if you use it).
Please do a test on a subdomain and use only tagDiv plugins, and if you have a child theme, please use the main theme.
Also, if you can provide some screenshots to see how it looks will help a lot.
Thank you!
Hello,
What I seemed to have been able to figure out is that when the theme updated it rolled most of my customizations, headers, footers, settings, etc back to system defaults. This is wild to me that your update instructions state NOTHING about disabling extra plugins and the child theme….why is that the case?
And furthermore, I attempted to use the time machine feature to roll back to version 10 instead and it would not roll back… why include the feature that doesn’t work?
Lastly, How do I prevent auto-updates in the future? And how can I take a copy of my settings to ensure that this NEVER happens again? As developers, you have a very big responsibility to your users to provide the largest amount of information. There should be more warnings, disclaimers, and disclosures about performing updates.
Thank you!
This is what my screen looked like after the update. And I’m seeing other posts from users with the same issues! Appears to be only on Firefox.
Hello,
This is my recommendation, as there is a possibility that you may use plugins or security plugins that are not tested with it and may interfere with the process.
Also, you can use the import/export option to bring back theme panel settings (this option will apply only the panel settings, will not apply on cloud templates).
Also, if your settings are missing, please make sure you have the tagDiv Standard pack plugin installed and active.
The theme doesn’t have the option to auto-update automatically, usually, the option is provided by your host, so you need to ask your host if the auto-update option is enabled or set it in your wp-config.php file.
For backup, you can check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAJXrSI-dDA
Also, for the problem with the footer, please contact us at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the wp-admin and cPanel.
Please note that at the moment the support is a bit crowded. Replying may take up to 24 hours, and our schedule is Monday – Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM GMT+2.
Thank you!
