Mobile+AMP = no ads on theme mobile

Hi,

– If i use only AMP in mobile theme settings, then there is no cache for AMP version.
– If i use Mobile+AMP, there is cache for both of them but…

I want to place ads by myself on amp version with mobile ads options. So i put amp code for ads and not classic ads for desktop. No problem for amp version, ads are there. But there is absolutely no ads for responsive version on mobile.

If i use only amp in mobile theme settings, then there is ads for amp version and mobile theme version but no cache for amp version…
I don’t want to use auto ads for amps so this is not the solution.

Hello,

You can use the element Ad Box, and set the element where you want. The code does not need to be auto ads, so the theme will not have control.
The ad box has 3 sections for ads: using theme panel ads -> https://i.imgur.com/KFa9ibl.png, using images/banners -> https://i.imgur.com/MfAPTaE.png and custom code -> https://i.imgur.com/2rh8SuD.png save it and will appear on the post (you can set a shortcode like a shortcode from adrotate plugin or other plugins).

If the AdSense code needs to be set between head tags, this can be put in our theme in Theme Panel -> Analytics/Js Codes -> https://prnt.sc/10jk7fq -> https://infotechapb.com/disable-top-adsense-anchor-ads/
Also, make sure your ads are approved.

Thank you!

I’m sorry but your answer has no link with my questions.

1. Why if i use only AMP in mobile theme settings, then there is no cache for AMP version ? (mobile theme activated)

2. On desktop, adsense ads are inserted with ads in theme panel. On mobile, they don’t appear in normal view if i choose mobile+AMP
Is it because mobile theme is activated ?

Hi Anamaria,

A question and a feature suggestion rolled into one, currently there is no solution to alter the default mobile theme which may not cause problems if later editing the main theme? Is the mobile theme dynamically generated, or is it editable somewhere?

Feature request: In the Mobile theme the “General ADS” include an option for an add position between the grids and latest articles sections. This would likely make the mobile theme more cosmetically pleasing for those wanting an ad near the top of the theme, rather than right at the very top or in the footer?

Thanks!

Could something like this be used in the mobile themes custom CSS?

Hello,

The settings for the mobile theme are those from Theme Panel -> https://i.imgur.com/dyeN1mb.png
To alternate, you can disable the mobile theme for pages and posts https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
You can add extra code css in Theme Panel -> Mobile Theme -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS.

Thank you!
