Currently using Newspaper theme panel 12.2, the post theme is set to default. The post setting for ajax count is toggled off, however, the view count is still visible. This toggle option has simply worked in the past when WP Super Cache was working. This plug-in is no longer supported due to security concerns, etc. Is there another plug-in that might help? Is this even the issue?

Hello!
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
