Hello,
I just installed the newspaper theme on my blog, xtremecanadian.com. It’s a great theme, but I can’t seem to get rid of a strange formatting issue – just under the main preview area (currently says ‘Dean Potter Talks ‘When Dogs Fly’, and BEFORE ‘Latest Articles’), there is a large gap in the formatting, which currently says ‘Related Posts (None)’. I can’t seem to get rid of that text and close that white space.
This started yesterday, when I had an adsense ad running in the right sidebar. The white space opened up and put an ad where ‘Related Posts’ is right now.
I just want to get rid of that awkward space/formatting issue!
Would really appreciate feedback on how to resolve this!

Hi,
Please try to disable all plugins(especially related posts plugin if you have ), leave just Visual Composer active, also clear cache and check if you still have this issue. If you don’t have this issue anymore please activate your plugins one by one and see which one cause this.

Yup, this fixed it! It was the Related Posts plugin as you suggested. I was kind of surprised, because the issue first appeared with an adsense ad, which was unrelated the the ‘related posts’ plugin, but we’re good to go now. Thanks very much!

It’s happening again. I put an adsense ad in the top right sidebar widget and now there’s an awkward ad between the Main Preview area and ‘Latest Articles’
I did as you suggested and disabled all the plugins other than Visual Composer and the problem remained, even after I cleared my cache.
I took the ad that caused the problem out, but the issue remained.
So the problem is any time I put a new widget in the top right sidebar, it puts a related widget in that space.
Thoughts? I really need to fix this problem.

Please provide a screenshot from backend of your homepage, I guess that you have added there the ad via pagebuilder, but I’m not sure what is the issue.

Yes, I just want to get rid of that ad and put one in the top space of the sidebar.
The issue is every time I modify the top widget in the sidebar (where it currently says ‘Most Popular’), that ‘option’ appears in the side bar AND that awkward white space (which is where I need to remove it).
Last week I put a ‘Related Posts’ widget in that top right sidebar and a ‘Related Posts’ tab appeared in that space. That was the first message in this thread. You suggested I disable my plugins and manually turn them back on. That fixed the problem at the time (the problem was a ‘Related Post’ plugin).
This time, I put an adsense ad in the same spot, and the ad appeared in the sidebar AND in that spot where you see it now. So I removed the ad widget from the sidebar but the ad remains in that weird white spot.
I manually disabled my plugins but the issue remained.

Hi,
Above your Latest Articles (and sidebar) you have a row where you display your ad. This space is normal because the sidebar cannot go up if there is a row and this sidebar appears with Latest Articles – http://screencast.com/t/crl0PjlEk
So please edit your page and remove that row and if you want to add that add to the sidebar please use widgets section and add it to your sidebar – http://screencast.com/t/OeQVItsaQAc
Please take a look at our documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates/ when you use a page template with articles list this will be added automatically on your page and you can add blocks and sidebar to your content using Visual Composer for example – http://screencast.com/t/NW7u0tzdz0G or use only blocks for page sidebar – http://screencast.com/t/57yXwPL22r

One question – to remove that row as you suggest, do I just go into the Page php file in ‘Appearance’? I don’t have a huge tech background so need to confirm :).
