Custom Post Type – Cloud Template Layout

I created a new custom post type, added custom fields, created a new cloud template from a blank template.
Added Fields – saved it – sometimes when going to the test post i created – it shows up with the proper cloud template layout. however, most of the time it just appears as a regular post with the Title, featured image, and content as a regular post.

Also – i thought the cloud template would appear in the Dashboard Panel> Cloud Templates area, but it does not.

Question 2- found the Cpt / taxonomy cloud templates section.

I that section? If you make a template global- does global in that sense mean to Cpt post types or the entire site?

I created a new Cpt, added some acf – created a new cloud template- but it isn’t taking effect and the Cpt is just showing as a regular post with title, featured image and content.

Where do you apply the cloud template to the cpt?

OK – so for the category at hand – – I want to make it (the template) Global for that category (CPT), and it will only be for that CPT – not the whole site?
