Social Icons Directing to Our Website instead of to Social

Hello! I have the Social Icons element pre-installed in our footer as part of one of the Newspaper Themes we use. For some reason, instead of directing to social, each icon adds the page in view to the front of the address. For example, if you’re on this page:
https://rareparenting.com/books-for-children-about-disability
and you click the twitter icon in the footer, you are redirected to:
https://rareparenting.com/books-for-children-about-disability/www.twitter.com/rareparenting
instead of to the twitter page. Each icon adds the page in view to the front of the twitter address.

Can you explain how to fix this? Also, how do I update the twitter icon to the new “x” twitter logo?

Thank you!

Best,

Megan

Hello Megan!

I’ve tried and it redirects me to the twitter.com.
Clear all the cache and try again in an incognito window.
Please update the theme and plugins because we fix the icon for the twitter as well.

Thank you!

Yes it works now! The logo hasn’t updated though. The theme and all plug-ins are up-to-date. Any ideas?

Hello Megan!

Please make sure that the header template is global and displays on every page (same as the footer template).

Thank you!
