Hi,

If you look here at the bottom of my site, none of the thumbnails are displaying. Here is a link to the site: http://dawgtime.com/
Here is a link to a screenshot of the issue: http://goo.gl/ED2mXK

Thanks guys!

Did you regenerate your thumbnails using the ‘force regenerate’ or the “regenerate thumbnails” plugin.

Did you also first turn “on” the sizes for the modules for thumbnails ?

I did regenerate thumbnails, but I am doing that again.

But what do you mean “turn “on” the sizes for the modules for thumbnails”?

Thanks!

Good idea to explore all the panel settings for theme…. and bring a cup of coffee (or wine) … it’s like going on a safari ! 🙂

For some modules the thumbs are not “on” by default so that extra thumbs are not built for sizes people don’t actually use; and also allows you to turn off sizes you don’t use to save disk space, CPU cycles if doing lots of posts a day, etc.

So, if you have not yet “gone on safari….(and by that I mean a photo safari, as anybody who hunts big game should be shot) ….” try this:

theme panel >> block settings >> note top menu item is >> Thumbs on modules and blocks

on that panel you can set thumbs on/off as needed 🙂

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the tips. Yes I have been through all the Theme Panel, I was unsure of exactly what you were talking about. I do have all the module thumbnails “on”. However, the thumbnails towards the bottom of my site are still not loading.

Anything I am missing?

Thanks!

If you’re using a CDN or some other external thing, you likely need to ensure that is setup properly and clear cache; make sure you actually have ‘featured’ images setup for all of those posts, etc.

Do the images actually exist on your site?
seems they do ?

I will say this — it’s really bad to have dots in file names … most systems need to identify the file extension after a . so some systems will stop at 3.whatisthisextension?

Ideally this should be

NO
3.31Practice18-100×75.jpg

YES
3-31Practice18-100×75.jpg

dumb as it sounds, but try changing the image file names?

or wait for tagdiv support …. I’m just a bystander ….. 🙂

Hi,

Please make sure that you use the latest theme version(1.7.1). If you need to update please use this guide(FTP method) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/ and update also the plugins that come with the theme’s files from the /plugins folder. Let me know how it goes!

Thanks!
