Created a new category (ആത്മായനം) and added some posts into the category. But it does not affect the section when I select it from the filter.

Check in Dashboard -> Posts -> Categories -> https://app.screencast.com/zaydPa4Mt50KZ
Make sure it is not 0 in the right of your category.
