I am trying to install Newsmag on my Dev environment at wp-engine. Got it installed ut whwn i tried to get tho the editor on dash, nothing happened. Looked at error log on Server and found this…..

I have no idea why this failed. Our currenct production site uses Newspaper 12, and I was looking to update. Very disapointing. So what can you do to assist?

(Sorry, don’t work here; but that was an issue I had in dev setup.)
I also found that installing uncompressed files via FTP, vs installing zip via WP panel works best. And, make sure not using PHP 8.4x (8.3x max).
Yes Lic code was entered and we run php 8.2 on server so that isn’t the issue. Uploading the default templaye without content, one would think that this wouldn’t he a big deal. Might have to look towards alternatives if we can’t get this resolved quickly.

If the theme is activated https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-activate-the-theme/ then please do a test go to permalinks and set them on simple/plain and see if the problem persist, if the problem is resolved, please contact your hast and ask them to set the pretty permalinks for your website.
Also, if you are using extra plugins, please do a test using only tagDiv plugins to see if the problem persist, most of the time this situation can be a plugin conflict.
If all the above have been tested and the problem persist please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and please provide temporary wp-admin and cPanel access. We’ll check it out as soon as possible.

Was able to contect this AM but took over 2 minutes. Then when I tried to open plugins same issue but ended with 502 error (Bad Gateway) Checked error lodgs and nothing.
Then I went to WP-engine Dev environment dashboard and fond this message…….

No need . I wiped the total dev environment and created a new one. Not going to mess with Newsmag anymore. Wasted too much time. Just going to load up our Newspaper 12 site and make changes to that. I liked the newsmag layout and tools, but never have I run into this amount of problems and can’t spend anymore time or resources trying to figure it out. Very disapointing experience. But thank for your offer anyway.
