Home Page Issues Since Update

Hi,

Congrats on the big update! I like how many new options are available with the update but some old favorites are missing and re-building my home page is mind busting right now :). Most of my problems seem be with VC. Here are my issues:

1) I can’t figure if it’s some kind of plugin conflict but I have not options on the blocks/modules for re-naming the titles/headers. I’m stuck with the default block titles;

2) I don’t have any options coming up that allows me to choose how many or which categories the blocks should pull from to form the stacks. It seems to be happening all at random;

3) My side bar titles/headings are not pulling the color from the Accent color in the theme panel options as before. I can’t change the stack/block headings on the side bar either.

4) How can I get back the same styling (with the extended line) in the footer to match the side bars? There used to be options for doing this AND what about the option to not have pagination on the stacks as before?

I’d really like any help that you can offer in solving these issues.

Thanks for this. I’ll try these suggestions. It may well be a plugin conflict because those options in the screencast [under General, Filter, Ajax Filter, Pagination] don’t show up when I click the edit icon.

Will let you know how it works out.

One more question: I had the Newspaper 4.6 (or whatever was the previous update) loaded before this 6 update. Do I need to upload the script in the welcome page?

I have the same problem (the third) of wpfan3751. I can change all title color and background of tagdiv blocks, but not of, for example, newsletter plugin or in a block7 in a sidebar. You can see it in these links:

I think the last system was better, because you set up the color one time and appears everywhere. Now, I have a problem with different styles.

Hi,

I still can’t edit the various elements in the blocks/modules on the home page. The only options available when I click the edit icon are: General (with extra class name), Design Options (with CSS box) and Responsive Options. None of the options (General, Filter, Ajax Filter, Pagination) to change these elements is available.

The side bar colors and footers headings are still not in sync. I can’t get my home page set up 🙁

If you’re still looking for a solution, I just tried this suggestion from another poster, “rk” and it brought up the options that were missing before. Here it is:

I found the solution in a Forum:

– Change theme to default theme.
– see if Design Option under “VC” appears
– if so – just resave data and then change back to “Newspaper”.

Hope it works for you.

Apologies! I can make edit design options ONLY when I use the default theme. Although the edits are saved, once I switch to the theme upgrade, I can’t edit the blocks/modules. NO homepage as yet 🙁
