Add button beside/inside header ad

I would like to add a button beside/inside the header ad

here is my code:
<span>SHOP NOW</span>

But is not showing up..

Any ideas why?

In case you are using Ad-sense ads that will not work, but if your ad is an image you can edit it with Photoshop or other program, how you liked. I’ve tried to put the text inside the ad, but is not working, because the ad hide the text. The theme wasn’t designed for something like that.
