Can’t edit or create sidebar

It seems the Default Newspaper sidebar in the widget area is locked, and I cannot edit the widgets in the sidebar.
I also cannot create a new sidebar.

Please advise.

Hi,
If you do not want to use the tagDiv Composer to create sidebars on pages and use cloud templates and you want to use the standard templates.
You can create new sidebars from the theme panel > categories – https://i.imgur.com/T9xWDXF.png

What you are seeing there are sidebars created by the theme, and they are theme-protected because they are built using the theme options, not the standard WordPress widgets.

It is not showing me the Custom Sidebar options under the theme panel under categories.

Hi,
This means that you have set a cloud category template. Ok, then another place from were you can add new sidebares is from pages, click on create new page and at the bootom in Page Template settings you’ll see custom sidebar – https://i.imgur.com/nw69Pmu.png
