Hi everyone,
I’m using the Newspaper Pro theme and I’m trying to remove the default footer background image (the one with the bridge). I’ve already tried changing the footer settings and looked through the theme options, but I still can’t get rid of it.
I don’t want to change the footer template. I only want to remove or replace the default background image.
Has anyone experienced this before or knows where this image is set? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hi,
That is possible.
Please edit the homepage with the composer -> https://prnt.sc/4aGMrsdBYYO1
Then scroll down to the footer and click on this row -> https://prnt.sc/zP_iAizgWhjm
In the CSS tab of the row settings the image can be removed or replaced.
Please try it. Let me know if you have more questions.
Thank you!
Hi Simion,
Thank you very much for your help. That was exactly the issue.
I hadn’t realised the background image was set in the footer row’s CSS within the Composer. After following your instructions, I was able to remove the default bridge image and everything is now working as expected.
I really appreciate your clear guidance and quick response. Thanks again!
Hi Simion,
I have two quick questions:
1. In the mobile menu, when a user clicks on a category, can the selected/active category change to a custom color (instead of the default color)? If yes, how can I set a custom active color?
2. How can I arrange the social media icons at the top alphabetically?
Thank you!
Hi,
No problem.
1. That’s possible. The active color for the links in the mobile menu can be set in the theme panel -> https://prnt.sc/JCEFjWULjfqE
2. Are you referring to the socials displayed in the mobile menu? If so, that isn’t possible unfortunately.
If you want to customize the mobile menu more, or in detail, then you could use a popup instead. Like we use on some of the demos -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_urban_observer_pro/ On mobile the menu is a popup. A popup can be set to open a page which you can build with the composer. Then you could add the social icons in that page, and change the order of the socials -> https://prnt.sc/YnyOx4ivkzlV While it is more work, sometimes using a popup instead of the regular mobile menu can be useful.
If you want to know more about popups there is a guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-popup/
Thank you!
Hello tagDiv Team,
I noticed that the Social Counter element includes support for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, X (Twitter), and others, but there is no option to add Threads.
Since Threads by Meta has become a major social media platform and many publishers and news organizations actively use it, I believe it should be included as a supported social network in the Social Counter element.
Could you please let me know if there are any plans to add Threads support in a future update? It would be a valuable addition for publishers like us.
Thank you!
