I have installed the version 4.6.3 of Newspaper, climb the version 6 when all the settings you had saved are erased. I made a copy of these cnfiguraciones, climbed the new theme and import this backup, but neither works. As I fix it?

Before update please backup the site (database and files) – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
There is a guide how to update the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ I suggest to delete the old theme, then upload version 6. Also disable all your plugins when you update and then update the theme’s plugins, you can find them in the /plugins folder. After the update run the script included in the Welcome panel – http://screencast.com/t/eZxxuqvsTir running the script it will import old settings from database and it will change the shortcodes like you can see in the documentation. Also you have to regenerate the thumbs – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/ You may have to re-add widgets on the sidebars, some of them may not be imported or don’t exist anymore.

Install the theme on another blog for testing. I did all of the above steps, however. In the home he tells me 404

Please provide the full 404 error that you have.
Also bout the demo we could not include the official demo in the theme because we wanted to keep the theme as small as possible. We included a smaller demo which comes with the page templates and some posts/widgets which should provide good start.
