"Next page" link should appear also at the bottom of currently visible selection

The ” > ” symbol is used to indicate that additional pages are available, as on the title row of our KALEIDOSKOOPPI section at

http://vastavalkea.fi/

However, when visitors scroll down to see all the items that are currently visible, they have to scroll back to the top to click the ” > ” symbol to open another pageful of posts.

It would be user-friendly to have the ” > ” link (and of course ” < ” and ” < > ” when applicable) also at the bottom of the current section. Please see

for an illustration with the desired change marked with red.

Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

Hi,

As you can see in version 6 of the theme next/prev pagination is added at the bottom – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ you will need custom work to achieve that using version 4 of the theme and unfortunately we cannot provide any type of custom work at this time, sorry!

Thanks!

That looks much better. Could you tell me what your version upgrade policy is? Thank you.

Hi,

There is no special upgrade policy, you need log in and download from themeforest the new theme version and follow this guide to update – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Before update please make a full backup of your current installation. We recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one. Let us know how it goes!

Thanks!

Hi Alin,

I still haven’t upgraded the theme – but I just found some example page created with version 4 that contains exactly what I need, complete with the Previous (“Edelliset”) and Next (“Seuraavat”) texts with the appropriate arrows. Please have a look:

http://aijaa.com/FwTaAX

However, I cannot figure out how that section was created! Could you please tell me what block is in use in that picture and what pagination options I should choose to get that functionality.

(I’m asking because, for some reason, I cannot locate that section in the page editor to check for myself.)

Hi,

This is not a block, on blocks cannot be used numeric pagination. This is loop pagination – latest articles, category page… and the next/prev text can be translated from the panel – http://screencast.com/t/lzxw6EP0cQhttp://screencast.com/t/KlhvDgu0

Thanks!

So the problem is this:

I am currently using a block (Block 8, to be precise) to display articles.
How can I use this loop pagination (with the Next/Prev texts) instead?

Hi Vesa,

I have already provided a solution here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/showing-blog-links-with-equally-sized-images-and-texts/#post-49933 how to add text for next/prev on blocks. I suggest to hire someone to implement this for you as we cannot provide custom work, sorry!

The classic(numeric) pagination is not available on blocks. The theme have 3 types of ajax pagination for blocks – Next/Prev, Load More and Infinite Load.

Thanks!

Hi Alin,

I understand that blocks cannot have the desired pagination. But instead of a block, I’d like to use whatever is at work here:

http://aijaa.com/FwTaAX

As I mentioned, I found that on some example page, but I just do not know what module that is. I could use it instead of a block if I knew. 🙂

Hi,

The only way to achieve this on homepage is to use a page template with latest articles – http://screencast.com/t/7TZqzihxB1T Also you can translate Next/Prev in Theme panel – http://screencast.com/t/lzxw6EP0cQ

Thanks!
