Sidebars not showing on pages after update

I updated my theme to Newspaper 6 and now the sidebars are not showing on some of my pages. There is no rhyme or reason, the settings are all the same, the sidebar is still the same but it’s just not showing on specific pages.

UPDATE: It will not display the sidebar on any pages where there is shortcode. It doesn’t matter what type of shortcode, but any shortcode will make the sidebar disappear.

Hi,

Did you used default page template in version 4? We changed the page templates in version 6, please try to use pagebuilder with title – http://screencast.com/t/uST39hilk the default sidebar should be added automatically. Please try this on a page and see if works. You can check this solution for default template – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/joke-no-sidebar-with-visual/#post-53451

Also if you can use default page template and add Widgetised Sidebar block using Visual Composer to display your sidebar – http://screencast.com/t/MToOqSRhAkgS

Please provide more details if this doesn’t help, also a link so we can take a look.
